1. WAWEL ROYAL CASTLE
It’s used to be the home of Polish royals, a witness to the most important moments in the country’s history.
Today it is one of the most outstanding Krakow museum.

2. SCHINDLER’S FACTORY.
Although Schindler’s Incredible Story was well publicized by a Spielberg movie, it is nevertheless worth seeing the building and learning more about the story in person. It is one of the most popular museums in Krakow, the number of tickets is limited so it is a good idea to make a reservation.

3. NATIONAL MUSEUM
One of the most popular in Krakow (and definitely deserving of its fame), has a permanent exhibition showing everyday objects from medieval times to the 20th century. But there’s always much more to see – come and see for yourself!

4. HIPOLIT HOUSE
The main exhibition is called Bourgeois House and presents the typical house of a 17-19th century citizen. If you get lucky, you might meet a cat-museologist; his name is Hipolit and he usually lounges in the cloak room.

5. ETHNOGRAPHIC KRAKOW MUSEUM
The museum was established more than 100 years ago, and its collection counts around 80 000 exhibits. One of the most characteristic examples of what you can expect there is a 1300 hand painted Easter Eggs.

6. ARCHEOLOGICAL KRAKOW MUSEUM
Another old museum, it’s placed in an atmospheric building next to the Planty Park. The most famous exhibitions are Gods of Ancient Egypt and The Garden of Ceramics.

7. MANGGHA
Surprisingly, one of the best Krakow museums is the one dedicated to the Japanese art. Collection, donated by art critic Feliks Jasieński in 1920, started an exhibition that further expanded and focused on modern art and craft of Eastern Asia.

8. CRICOTEKA
Run since 1981, Cricoteka is a cultural institution focusing on the work of Tadeusz Kantor, Polish artist and director of Cricot Theatre.

10. PRINCES CZARTORYSKI MUSEUM
